Travel Agents
Travel Agent When you go along to a travel agent, it is akin to going along to an estate agent. The holiday of your dreams is out there somewhere, but you have to prise it out of your travel agents hands with a crowbar. The pictures you are shown are nowhere near what the holiday destination actually looks like. When you get there the reality will hit you with a barge pole. Unfinished hotels, dirt and filth everywhere, inedible food, awful locals who hate holidaymakers, you may as well have stayed at home.

Getting to a decent holiday destination can be one of the hardest things you have ever done, it always seems to be a better idea to avoid travel agents and organise your own holidays, however, there is a way. Go along to places your friends have already been to, it all sounds so easy and obvious really that it surprises us that more people don't actually do that.

If your friends have had a good time then by all that is right, so should you. Don't go along to places where old people hang out if you are young, and vice versa, go along to places where people of your own age are, this seems so obvious, but at the University of life we find that people need to be told the obvious, however many times.

Our other, real advice, is to take as many contraceptives and toothpaste as possible, not only on the holiday, but also along to the travel agents, in order to get the holiday of your dreams.
