STEEL EXPEDITION SCHOONER

The newest design by Simon Brown, a 50’ (15m) schooner is currently being built in Cornwall, U.K. It is a concept of an offshore cruising boat with generous accommodation for up to 6 persons, with the strength and capability to cruise to high latitudes.

Accommodation for six in three separate cabins plus the saloon and deckhouse.

Emphasis on practicality and safety for expeditions.

Performance sailing uncompromised by comfort.

Schooner rigged easily sailed shorthanded over long distances.

Spacious and versatile accommodation and robust hull construction.

Large bosuns store/workshop

Carry the RIB and a sailing dinghy on deck ready to launch with davits.

Equipped for long term cruising including generator, watermaker, heating and washing machine.

The design was digitised and a CNC cutting file prepared by Ace Marine Naval Architects.
They were also able to check the hydrostatics and the trial stability data.
